The Hole singer – widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain – began romancing hotelier Andre Balazs earlier this year and is completely smitten with the handsome businessman and insists the feeling is mutual.

She wrote in an email to a friend: "I’m in lurve. It’s nice. Scary. I’m a great catch and he can be a bad boy but he loves me. He is the sweetest thing and he actually totally does respect me. His manners are impeccable but he is funny too (sic).'

Courtney – who has repeatedly claimed to have been defrauded of her wealth by various people - has been staying in a suite at the Mercer Hotel in New York, which her new beau owns, but now says she is spoilt for choice over places where she can stay.

She said: 'He has properties everywhere and has given me the key to his apartment, but what is better than living in his hotel?"

The mother-of-one recently denied reports she was dating Andre, who split from actress Uma in 2007 after a three-year relationship.

She said: 'He is just an old friend and my sometime landlord."

Based over the weekend of 18th, 19th and 20th June 2010, The Isle Of Man Bay Festival is a boutique festival that has brought together a diverse array of talent that will see three nights of pop, nostalgia and for the first time ever a live collaboration of the TV sensations X-Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.

As the first festival of its kind on the Isle Of Man, it is a real pop dream with headliners Spandau Ballet, JLS, Calvin Harris and The Saturdays to name a few.

The Bay Festival has emerged out of the Peel Bay Festival of 2007 that saw The Who, Madness, Ronan Keating, Robin Gibb, Mcfly and many others perform on the Isle Of Man over seven day’s during the legendary annual TT motorcycle race.

Festival organisers have now made the festival a three-day camping event, while keeping the essence and diverse roots of the original event. The Friday evening is going to be a modern day Top Of The Pops live with Britain’s biggest pop acts JLS, The Saturdays and Lemar all take to the tented stage.

Having made one of the most celebrated comebacks of the past 20 years the mighty Spandau Ballet will be making their first ever appearance on the Isle Of Man on the Saturday evening. Also on the bill are pop rockers The Feeling and chart sensation Calvin Harris

The final day is a plethora of the old and new. In the afternoon X-Factor Meets Britain’s Got Talent where finalists from each show such as Olly Murs, Leon Jackson, Diversity and Signature bring TV to life. In the evening it is the turn of Here And Now, The Very Best Of The 80’s, Rick Astley, Boy George, Kim Wilde plus other legends of the 80’s will bring the weekend to a nostalgic pop filled dance fest end.

Susan Boyle thief to face court

A teenager who allegedly stole money from Susan Boyle’s home is to face court.

The break-in happened at the Scottish singer’s home in West Lothian, Scotland, on January 26 and local police have now confirmed the suspect is to face trial.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said: 'A 16-year-old youth has been arrested and charged in connection with a theft that happened at a property in Blackburn.'

Susan was left badly shaken by the incident and her representatives have issued a statement thanking "local police for their help and support'.

On the night the break-in took place, the 'Wild Horses’ singer had returned home after a day in the recording studio to lay down vocals for Simon Cowell's Helping Haiti charity single 'Everybody Hurts’ to discover the intruder.

After being spotted on the stairs, the teenager turned and ran past the scared music star.

A source said at the time: "Susan got home to find an intruder halfway up her stairs. She was with another female, who was dropping her off, it is just as well she was.'

After the incident Susan's eldest brother John insisted she needed round-the-clock care and security because of her global fame.

He said: "She needs 24-hour care. She needs to be looked after."

The former Spice Girls singer – who has two-year-old son Beau with her partner Jade Jones – is hopeful they will have another child in the near future and believes they are 'getting to the right time' to start trying again.

Discussing whether or not she planned to extend her brood, Emma said: 'Yes, fingers crossed. I’d love to have more children. We’re getting to the right time as Beau is starting nursery.'

Emma, 34, adores motherhood but admits caring for her son has left her with much less time to focus on her career.

She explained: 'I just think my priorities have changed. Everything is about Beau now. He’s two years old, so he’s getting a bit cheeky and I love that.'

While her work and family life can be hectic, Emma – who has dated the singer-turned-chef for over a decade – revealed the couple still go on dates to keep the romance in their relationship alive.

She explained to Stylist magazine: 'Jade and I have been together for almost 12 years and we get on so well. I think growing up together has made us closer. Being very honest and taking time out with each other is important – we still like to go on dates together. We have a great relationship and I think it just comes down to respecting each other and having fun really. He’s such a gentleman and the best dad. I’m very lucky.'

The Pipettes UK tour dates

To support the release of their upcoming single 'Stop The Music' out 19th April, and 2nd album 'Earth vs The Pipettes' out on 28th June on Fortuna POP!, The Pipettes are taking to the road and doing a UK nationwide tour.

In their first incarnation, donning polka dot dresses and referencing the girl groups of the late fifties in the heyday of skinny tie indie music, The Pipettes had remarkable success. A top ten album in Japan where the single 'Pull Shapes' was only kept off the number one spot by J-Lo, top ten radio positions all across Europe, two Top Forty hits in the UK and a Top Ten in the US billboard indies.

They played on the main stages at Reading and Glastonbury, blazed a British trail across SXSW, conquered the world and sold a heap of records. Since then they've been working on their new album 'Earth vs The Pipettes' with legendary Martin Rushent, the semi-retired producer of The Stranglers, Shirley Bassey, and, most famously, the Human League's 'Dare'.

Mariah Carey has had a complex about her face since she was 19.

The 40-year-old singer admits she has always been self-conscious about her appearance after somebody at her record company pointed it out.

She said: 'I remember starting out and being at a record company at 19 and having someone tell me, 'This is your good side and this is your bad side. Don’t ever let anyone take pictures of you from that side. You look terrible from that side,’ and so on. It created this whole complex – like I didn’t already have a complex!'

Mariah - whose mother is Irish-American and her father was an African-American of Venezuelan descent – says she has always been insecure about her looks because she’s mixed-race.

She said: 'I felt very different as a bi-racial person. Growing up where I did, being half-black and half-white was a weird and difficult thing because I didn’t quite fit in either place and I moved around a lot. So when I went from that to this world it was like, let’s create an inferiority complex before we make this person go on TV and try to have confidence. So it was all about building self-confidence.'
